CORONAVIRUSES . TRANSMISSION, TREATMENT. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

. How is SARS- CoV-19 transmitted? Experts are working on the basis that the virus is transmitted by human-to-human droplet infection, mainly through respiratory secretions. As with other coronaviruses, the finest droplets of saliva or mucus are transmitted through coughing, sneezing, speaking or direct body contact with people who have the virus. Larger droplets descend and are transmitted within a radius of one metre. Smaller droplets remain suspended in the air for a longer time and can, in some circumstances, cause infection, even from a long distance. On the basis of the WHO's preliminary assessment, the new SARS-CoV-19 virus can also survive on surfaces for several hours. There may be a risk of infection even during the incubation period – before the first specific symptoms occur. This poses a particular risk during flights, when visiting trade fairs or in international meetings. What symptoms are caused? After an incubation period of between one and fourteen days, typical symptoms of a viral respiratory infection may occur. The symptoms can progress from a common flu-like infection (cold, coughing, a runny nose) to a serious case of pneumonia (with fever, coughing, shortness of breath). Phlegm or headaches are, by contrast, rare. There may be a risk of infection even before any symptoms occur. According to the WHO, there are currently still "no known effective therapeutics" which specifically counteract the novel coronavirus itself. People with the virus have their symptoms treated in quarantine. How can you protect yourself against infection? As with the influenza virus, the best way to protect yourself is to avoid contact with people infected with the virus, wash your hands regularly and thoroughly and boost your immune system through exercise, a healthy diet and sufficient sleep. To generally reduce the concentration of viruses indoors, we recommend using air purifiers. You can find more about purifiers through this link. .

How do IDEAL AP PRO air purifiers help?

The general concept behind IDEAL AP PRO air purifiers is to significantly reduce the concentration of pollutants, viruses and germs in indoor air. This prevents the coronaviruses from being transmitted to people in the first place and possibly making them ill.

Thanks to their highly efficient, multi-stage filters, the AP PRO models almost entirely eliminate pathogens and pollutants from indoor air – and don't release them again.

You can find more about this through this link. . Comprehensive microbiological hygiene certification verifies the effectiveness of IDEAL AP PRO air purifiers. They are approved for use in medical facilities. The "collected" viruses remain fully in the filter, meaning that the air that has passed through the air purifier no longer contains any viruses. PEACE OF MIND

FOR YOU, YOUR EMPLOYEES - AND YOUR BUSINESS PARTNERS

The fact is: There is a residual risk of being infected by people who have the coronavirus but are not yet displaying any symptoms. This can happen during flights, when visiting trade fairs or in international meetings. What can companies do to actively protect their employees (and business partners)? The risk of human-to-human transmission is not easy to avoid. But we can still do something. Reducing the concentration of viruses in indoor air can be an effective addition to the package of measures. By placing air purifiers in meeting rooms, offices, the lobby and other shared rooms.
