Dual tool power - digital accuracy. The digital cutting head can apply up to 750gf, individually for both the cutting and creasing tools. Their actions are controlled via the included ColorCut Pro software. In common with the entire Morgana ColorCut family, the SC6500 can be set to apply exact amounts of pressure and speed, along with total control over the application of cut, crease and perforation of the vector artwork lines. 8th generation Vision3 CCD camera reads and instantly retrieves cut files for every sheet on the fly. Accepts a mixed stack of jobs, cutting one after the other in a seamless and uninterrupted flow. Finally before advancing the sheet into the cutting engine, the vacuum feed belt ‘jogs’ briefly against the rear paper stop, creating a natural curve that helps ensure even difficult media feeds faultlessly.
In the design phase, jobs created by graphic designers using ColorCut Pro Client are saved into ColorCut Pro’s Job Library.
Production Studio: The core application for production and operating of the cutter. The easy-to-use interface enables an operator to position sheets for cutting and click START on the software. The QR code printed on the job sheet enables ColorCut Pro Production Studio to automatically and instantly retrieve the correct cutting file, then start cutting your jobs. Job numbers can also be used, enabling an operator to load and send jobs directly to the cutter without need for any additional software.
ColorCut Pro’s Job Library Manager: Adds a sophisticated level of control enabling custom job naming and identification, searching, viewing and even assigning unique or custom actions to specific QR codes or job numbers (only available with the ColorCut Pro Server Station).
Morgana ColorCut SC6500 has 17,8 cm immersive touch screen control panel can pivot to suitthe angle desired by the operator. New HELD mode allows for running ‘without wires’. This means that repetitive high volume jobs can be run easily without a connection to a computer. The machine can also work without its power cord being plugged into any of the outlets in the room*
Dual ‘Grip and Drive’ feed system holds media during cutting on both sides of the cutting head, enabling it to cut closer to media edges. Revolutionary cutting strip delivers an optimal surface for both cut-through, creasing and kiss-cutting. High-capacity auto feeder works in conjunction with air blade separation and automated jog function, to present every sheet perfectly for the cutter, every time.
Template Maker: Create die-cut templates for a range of simple cartons and shaped items, with your own dimensions, in just a few seconds. The intuitive program allows for a wide range of options to tailor X, Y, Z dimensions, flaps, tucks, creasing and perforations etc. Templates can then be exported to Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW for immediate use.
The Morgana ColorCut SC6500 has been designed to provide unattended operation with particular attention paid to the feeding system to ensure classleading performance for card, vinyl labels or even tricky laminated sheets. In the design phase, jobs created by graphic designers using ColorCut Pro Client are saved into ColorCut Pro’s Job Library. Targeted for busy print departments, seeking an affordable, high-capacity device for complete unattended cutting production, the SC6500 combines ultra-reliable feeding with an instant job retrieval system and flawless high-speed cutting and creasing. Easy to use automatic job retrieval. When creating jobs, ColorCut Pro applies an auto-assigned (editable) QR code to each design, whilst auto-saving the cutting file to the ColorCut Pro Job Library. Jobs with QR codes can be cut at a later date by any operator - no need to search for which file to cut and no specific computer application skills required. The SC6500 checks the QR code on each sheet, retrieves the associated cut file and proceeds to cut and crease as required - even if the sheet is presented at 180°, reducing operator errors. Choose to cut a single sheet or even thousands on an unattended run.
The SC6500’s auto feeder accepts up to 1,000 sheets, which automatically raises and lowers as required. To prevent sheets curling (as a result of a constant air flow to the sides), the SC6500 uses an automatic air blade that fires a blast of air momentarily into the front of the stack just as the advanced vacuum feed belt lowers to collect the top sheet. To further provide a reliable feed, the vacuum feed belt lifts the media carrying any sheets not preseparated by the air blade past a pair of dexterous separation fingers which dislodges them. Finally before advancing the sheet into the cutting engine, the vacuum feed belt ‘jogs’ briefly against the rear paper stop, creating a natural curve that helps ensure even difficult media feeds faultlessly.
Ergonomic, compact and mobile. The space-saving media catch tray slides away when not in use and the manoeuvrable stand ensures it is easily accommodated into any environment.

CASE STUDY. John Brailsford Printers has become the first UK print business to install a Morgana ColorCut SC6000 digital die-cutting and creasing machine, debuted by Morgana at the 2023 Hunkeler Innovationdays.John Brailsford Printers, a Rotherham shop-fronted business, reviewed several potential products. Company owner John Brailsford remarked, ‘We had looked at a variety of potential solutions, but nothing was quite suited to our needs. Either they were too expensive, were overly complex, or they still needed dies to be produced. A call from Ray Hillhouse at Morgana introduced the SC6000 to Brailsford, which overcame the limitations of the smaller model.
Mr Brailsford added, ‘We introduced the SC6000 to our studio people initially. They were able to easily understand the ‘front-end’ of the machine. The output from the studio, including cutting requirements and run length, is encapsulated in a QR code, meaning that all the people at the post-press end of the factory need to concern themselves with is selecting the right stock and scanning the QR code printed on the job.
‘This machine is quite amazing. The results have been quite superb. We keep thinking up new ways of using it – with labels, for example, we are now running through our stock of pre-cut labels, and then we can simply use the SC6000 to kiss-cut the labels for us on plain adhesive-backed stock. That means any sized, or shaped, self-adhesive label is possible, and we don’t need to have the expense of holding any stock of various sized at all.
