Dual-roll system. The dual-roll system includes one input and one rewind spool holder. The input roll holder supports both laminates and foils with adjustable fittings for standard 3-inch and 1-inch cores. Once loaded, this compact unit features a short webbing path, directing foil waste to the rewind spool during foiling applications. Air blade cooling. Purpose built for both foiling and lamination, the CF400 features
an innovative air-blade that cools media temperature after the heat roller - enhancing foil adhesion, broadening media compatibility and improving overall foil finish.

Metallic, colored, patterned or holographic foils can be added to digitally printed materials. This decorative effect is known as “sleeking” and traditionally required expensive custom plates to create. However, ColorFlare can deliver immediate and affordable results – and with improved hydraulic pressure, an even wider range of media is now suitable for great results! Even more sophisticated effects can be achieved by combining special corona-treated laminates with decorative effect metallized foils. Clever combination treatments deliver ultra-premium results – all from one compact device!
Metallic FOIL sleeking. With Metallic Foil Flaring, the Plockmatic ColorFlare uses your digital print engine to act as your ‘master’ for laying down metallic decorative effects.The colored metallic foil separates from the base carrier film layer and adheres to any toner that is on the surface of the sheet being passed through the ColorFlare. Whilst sounding simple, Intec foils are quite advanced and consist of five layers to enable you to achieve the best foiling results. There is a Polyester carrier, and then a release layer. These are rewound onto the rewinder at the rear of the ColorFlare. Using heat from the integrated Heated Roller (normally used during lamination) and mechanical pressure, the digital image from your printer or copier works like an adhesive which binds to the adhesive and metallic particles on Plockmatic’s specially constructed Metallic Foil. The foil will only bind to the toner area on your sheet. In the ColorFlare’s automated process, as the foil is lifted the colored metallic particles separate from the carrier, leaving an opaque, bright shinny metallic finish. Any Foil in the non imaging areas is rewound along with the Carrier film and release layer. Not all foils are equal and different brands of foil work in very different ways, giving different resolution, varying release capabilities and smoothness. Intec foils are designed to deliver premium results with the highest resolution and the least resistance to releasing from the carrier, ensuring the widest range of media can be foiled.
