The laminating foil is micro-perforated along the edge by a robust scoring device and then separated by a tear roller. This easily separates the laminated sheets before the actual edge of the media, leaving clean and square edges from which to measure, cut, fold or guillotine. Other devices typically require time-consuming and imprecise manual separation.
