Plockmatic Group acquires Renz

In October, we installed the latest solution for digital die cutting of digitally printed media from the Japanese company Uchida - AeroDieCut. A machine for the creation of which we were previously invited to Japan by the factory to share what specifics it should meet!

Our client was looking for a solution for an automatic process and fast (within 2-3 minutes) re-adjustment of the dies due to the presence of many different orders with a small quantities, but as a large volume for die cutting in general. Only while we installed the machine within a few hours, we worked out the norm for the day and had to come to the next one to train the staff.

The machine can simultaneously die cut, do gold-stamping and embossing with the ability to automatically separate waste from the production.

Sweden's Plockmatic Group unveiled two groundbreaking systems at Printing United 2025, held in Orlando, USA, from October 22 to 24: a B2 digital cutting and creasing system and an energy-efficient led-UV coater.

The SC7800 Pro XL for digital cutting and creasing
The SC7800 Pro XL digital slitter-weaner is designed to handle formats up to B2 and substrates up to 450 microns thick on a wide range of substrates, including synthetics.

Developed from the SC7000 series, the SC7800 Pro XL stands out for its patented tangential grooving system, which uses male and female tools.
The system, which doesn't require a traditional die-cutting die, is fully automated thanks to a QR code-driven workflow and image recognition via SmartMark.

Up to 1000 sheets can be processed in a single pass, even with multiple jobs in the same stack. Control is based on ColorCut Pro software.

The DigiCoater Pro 400 led-UV for energy-efficient varnishing
The second piece of equipment presented, the DigiCoater Pro 400 led-UV, is an inline and offline coating solution. Claimed to consume 40% less energy than conventional systems, this coater operates at speeds of up to 45 m/min and offers a duplex mode as well as a wax kit for specific applications. It can replace lamination.

The new 10,000 m² production facility represents a major expansion for Plockmatic Group, increasing production capacity and operational efficiency while creating over 50 new jobs in the local economy.
