The DigiBook 300XL Pro PUR Perfect binding machine opens the door to high value, large format book production. Now you can offer your customers books with a finished size of up to 450mm x 450mm! Applications such as deluxe catalogs, photobooks and special editions can all be produced more economically and easily than ever. And Morgana’s patented PUR technology ensures a strong, permanent bind across the widest range of media types and sizes. The amount of PUR glue is determined by the height of the applicator and the pressure applied giving complete control and allowing any kind of book to be bound with maximum ease.
Another key feature of the 300 and 450 models is the sophisticated milling and notching tools which gives the optimum spine preparation of the book block to interact with the PUR glue. Additionally, the DigiBook 300 and 450 have completely retractable milling systems allowing for the production of sewn book sections. The machine has installed (electronically adjustable via the control panel) milling and notching mechanism, which promote better penetration of the adhesive not only on the back of the book body, but in each page separately. Depth of penetration is 0.1 to 3 mm. Their function can be activated and deactivated as it relates to the automatic drive and carriage return holding leaf binder. The opening of the jaws of the carriage can be made to "remember" the thickness of the paper block in order to save production time.
The nipping press is a pneumatic system with adjustable lateral pressing force. Pressing time is also adjustable from the panel. The press height varies from 0 to 1.5 mm for optimal squaring of the spine and quality of glue application. In addition to the automatic cover feeder, the DigiBook 450 is also equipped with an automatic book delivery and stacking section to maintain output speeds and reduce handling of the bound books.

The touch-sensitive screen allows you to set and control practically all book binding processes. The visualization is clear and easy to understand. If you have worked with a Plokmatic or Morgana machine before, it will even be very familiar to you, because all our devices share the same menu design.
