What is the Cyklos C-Press 440? It's a small machine for big jobs. There are no similar punching solutions on the European market that are electrically driven and for such small formats (up to 440 mm). The other big plus of the engineers from Cyklos is that they developed the machine works/functions with the so-called traditional punching dies because they are technologically mature, easy to obtain/manufacture, cost effective and the quality they offer to the finishing works is second to none. The C-Press 440 has two adjustable pressure rollers that allow cutting through materials with a max. thickness of 2.5 mm. This includes laminated cardboard, plastics, cardboard, vinyl and other materials. Each side of the shaft can be adjusted independently of the other.
Unlike the other die cutting method - the piston punch - here the media is not cut all at once, but by passing through the pressing shafts, which forcefully press the product to its lowest point. The lower shaft is fixed stationary, and the upper one is adjusted at both ends so that it can press properly. On the front cover there are mechanical scales-indicators showing the width of the clearance between them. The lower shaft has a mesh structure to better attract the die. This type of shafts have excellent adhesion to the tool surface and are recommended. The upper one has a special coating designed to be able to pass under it the high-pressure propylene plate, which protects the shaft from scratching and, accordingly, the die from wear when it passes under it. The shafts are driven by the electric motor reducer, and the "loft" of the lower shaft ensures soft gripping of the matrix. The upper shaft has no clearance because it is designed to be in contact with the rigid shield plate. He is responsible for the pressure on the media.

What does Cyklos mean?
Why Cyklos and what is Choltice? Cyklos has no link to bicycles or cycling even though many people still think so. The name comes out of the term "cyclo - style", which is derived from a process which repeats cyclically. This term was used for a long time in our factory concerning to fabrication of stencil duplicators which was our main field before we converted to print finishing in the 1990s.
And Choltice? Choltice is a small village with a lovely chateau and gorgeous park laying some 12 km southwest of the city of Pardubice in the heart of the Czech Republic. The factory itself is settled a little bit outside the village Choltice.
